I bought the Blix Ultra with the dual battery option. Over all, this has been a very pleasant experience. The bike is pretty solid, the app works well. And customer support has been very responsive and helpful. A few criticisms that I have of the bike Occasionally the power assist and throttle will completely give out. The only solution is to stop, disconnect the battery, then restart the bike. This probably happens once every time I ride which I find a bit annoying, but it’s not that big of a deal in the long run now that I know about it. If this issue becomes more pronounced this will really get old. The other thing I noticed is that the battery life decreases drastically when the charge is below 20%. This resulted in me running out of charge while I was still 10 miles away from home. If the over all charge percentage could take this into consideration and provide a more precise and consistent charge depletion calculation, that would have allowed me to better budget how much charge I needed to still get home. Something that was also interesting. As the battery got into the lower charge rates, the loss of connection to the pedal assist that I mentioned above became much more common. I was completely loosing power and needing to reconnect the batter every couple of minutes. Weird! Next. I wish that the dual battery option accepted the same key. I don’t like needing a separate key for each battery. Lastly, when I first set up the bike, I installed both front and rear fenders. I immediately noticed that the rear fender was too close to the wheel and if I rode at all aggressively, the fender was constantly hitting the tire. I tried to adjust the spokes on the fender to give it more height, but ultimately, I found the rear fender to be too flimsy and I removed it. Other than that, the bike is a powerhouse and I have been having a lot of fun! As long as everything holds up overtime, I will remain very pleased with my purchase
Bought an Avery Skyline a year ago…..so simple to put together and has performed perfectly for a year. So bought a Ultra Fat Tire bike….again, simple to assemble the few pieces needed to roll. The bike has been all over for two months…. both bikes run beautifully and neither has needed any adjustments. The bikes are beautifully painted and love the designs. These bikes cost less than what I was looking at in bikes shops and really, more beautiful and obviously the bikes perform well. My two cents. You won’t be let down.
Customer service is always responsive and helpful.
I needed a bike to get me across town and over steep hills to work. I enjoy cycling but couldn’t commit to giving that much effort before an exhausting shift to a standard bike. My very first ride on this bike took my breath away. I love the pedal assist. And getting up the biggest hills is a breeze. I can’t wait to explore trails I was afraid of previously because of the endless hills! Also love being able to take my bike to run errands or to visit a friend instead of the hassle of finding parking.
I got my new bike toward the end of last year, I have it completely assembled but it's so cold I haven't got to ride much! Waiting for record cold to go back north. I love what little I have ridden!
